Just a Dream [Reno, Rude, Invite]

Rufus kept a plain, unchanged expression on his face as he walked into the District. Where was he and how was he moving so easily? It was true that Rufus was baffled as to how he was moving without the help of his wheelchair. The last time he was able to walk this well was before Diamond Weapon's assault on Midgar.

The last thing he remembered sitting in a room, the usual shadows roaming by and attack civilians. Trying not to get in the way, he would not do anything unless need. But the next thing that he knew, he was shooting at a stray heartless while in Edge and then being in this alley.

Was he going crazy? Or was this just a dream. His dreams usually consisted of being alone and walking. So it could be. No turks at his side. Probably was a dream. If so, then he'd wake up when he did. Why not enjoy imagination at work. He had never seen any place like this. With a few steps, he continued off.

It seemed very quiet here. This was quite strange since he was used to the hustle and bustle of a normal city like Midgar, but he'd live. His dreams usually had background noise.

The great thing about Traverse and Radiant Garden was the some-what tentative transit system between the two. Supplies and people came and went. Not as often with the perpetual darkness that went making trouble of everything. It was an old Turk habit to scope out every detail of territory that one was involved in. Not to mention the rumors were enough to draw Rude's somewhat natural curiosity.

Knowing the routs of trade, of transit, of anything, really, when one picked a spot of residency was a rather too-far ingrained impulse to ignore.

The large man stood in the plaza of First District, blankly looking at all the passer-byers. They didn't seem as outlandish here. Seems what he heard was true... this place was used to eternal night. It was quiet. Quaint. Almost entirely too peaceful. Was this town even bothered by all the things the people in Garden were complaining about?

Well. Solves that problem. Now just needed to find answers to all those other questions.

"C'mon," Rude muttered to his red-haired partner, glancing at Reno from the corner of his eye. "Scouting mission."

"C'mon, scouting mission."

The red-haired Turk known as Reno walked beside his long time friend and partner, hands folded atop his head, a banana from one of the nearby shops sticking partway out of his mouth. Sure he'd gotten some strange looks from people, but, oh well, he was a Turk. He got strange looks all the time back home on Gaia. Sure they were more of paranoia and suspicion than 'hey, that guy's a weird dork, let's look at him funny' than anything else, but it was still something he was used to. He gave them a couple glares of his own and they immediately looked away. When a one such as Reno glared at someone, even if they were his superiors, it wasn't a comfortable experience. For the one being glared at, not Reno.

As Rude spoke up, the shorter Turk merely nodded, not changing his posture any, aside from the occasional arm movement when he was growing short on banana. What were they gonna find in this town? It didn't look too unusual, except for the fact that it appeared to be night there, all the time. It wasn't too bad. After all, Midgar could be described as being 'perpetual night' as well, with the plates blocking out all the sunlight and whatnot.

Still totally unaware of the reality he was in, Rufus continued to walk. Now out of the alley. With a calm and slow movement he folded his arms, now looking around the Second District. It looked like is was abandoned and the tall man in white sighed.

True, he enjoyed being alone and all, but this was just a weird feeling of his. One that you get when you think your being watched outside. Then the hair on your neck stands up and you look around thinking someone's there. Well, that was sorta like this one. But he actually had a feeling in the pit of his stomach too.

Maybe he wasn't dreaming afterall? For all he knew he was dead or worse, kidnapped and left somewhere. Though he didn't even COMPREHEND that he was off planet. Rufus also was unaware of the two Turk's on Traverse Town either. His back was to the entrance to District One as his eyes continued to survey and memorize.

Rude agreed with Reno on that one-- it wasn't too far from some of the better parts of the slums in Midgar. The houses were uneven, some even slopped over, and everything was so... quaint. Actually, it looked more like Kalm, and it sort of made him miss Gaia. Sure, it wasn't the greatest planet, but it'd been home. Sort of. And First District really didn't hold much, people eyeing them --mostly Reno, nothing out of the usual-- oddly as Rude stalked his way past the small square and some shops, large hands at his sides, confident that his partner was there.

Now Turks were built up with an odd sense of timing: they tended to show up right when they needed to, and shoving open the door to Second District, ready to investigate further, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to find. But there'd been a reason. There usually always was. Wanted to find someone? Ask Rude. Needed to get a hold of a certain monkey boy when his reports were late and he wasn't answering his PHS? Call Rude. So when it came down to it, Rude just had a tendency to know, one way or the other, almost innately, where everyone was. Just took his time finding them.

It was empty. As in, nothing. No one. Zero. Except-- Really, when he blinked, shoving up his sunglasses to block out the bright lights, it seemed like a damn miracle. He stopped abruptly, sort of stricken when he spotted white out of the corner of everything.

"President."

"President."

Reno blinked when Rude said he spotted Shinra. Rufus Shinra? Here? Off world? Well, he supposed it wasn't much of a surprise, after all, Gaia'd been taken over by darkness and heartless and a bunch of other stuff that just didn't really register in his mind at this point in time. It was odd, how little he actually knew about the world that he thought he knew just about everything about. It was also odd how there was more than just Gaia floating in space. Ah well, he'd explore it. After all, he did have his own Gummi Ship thing now! ...Okay, okay, so maybe it was technically Cid's, but since when did he ever pay attention to that?

Now, he found himself looking off towards where Rude was looking to. Should they approach him? After all, it could be someone else who just reminded them of their boss... But, no, that white suit and the slicked-back blonde hair looked all too familiar to be a figment of their imaginations or some random look alike. Hah! A look alike! That was a funny thought! Reno himself doubted that in any world he'd find someone who looked nearly identical to him. He supposed it was possible, but he still highly doubted it.

"We should probably let him know that we're here," the red-haired monkey boy said after finishing up the last of his banana. Soon enough, he was headed towards the President.

(Ok? I guess that means I didn't hear Rude?)

Rufus folded his arms as he finished looking around. But sadly, he was blatently unaware of his two Turk's standing behind him a ways. Rude had muttered aloud, something that Rufus missed. That wasn't it, he missed Reno speaking as well. But he couldn't miss the footsteps as he heard them approaching him.

As they got closer, Rufus turned slowly. He only half reached for his gun till he noticed red hair and a pair of sunglasses. But Shinra stopped midway in the process and let his arm fall back to his side. "Reno? Rude? What are you donig here?"

A confused expression was printed all over his face. What were the Turk's doing here? Well, that meant this probably wasn't a dream. Reno had something in his mouth, not that Rufus cared to much, and Rude looked much like a zombie out of a comic. Rufus's expression remained as he waited for a reply.

He looekd the same as he always did: clean, perfect, just like he always had since the whole issue with Kadaj and his groupies. Without the Geostigma, of course.

Sure, it was instinct to nearly tense up when Rufus moved --something Rude was all too familiar with, Shirna nad his gun-- but he didn't really. There wasn't any real danger and Rufus wasn't going to shoot them; not something that was easy, shooting a Turk.

"Reno? Rude? What are you doing here?"

Rude couldn't say he entirely understood the expression that crossed the blonde's face, though. Reno's fault maybe? Whatever. He shrugged. "Scouting the area. Had a feeling."

As far as that went, his part was done, and he came to a stop some steps away, crossing his wrists like he always did, right behind his best friend. Looked like the everyone was starting to come together after all.
